Note: The tribute below was written (GoFundMe) by George's daughters. There was only a brief notice in the Spokesman Review.
"George was the kind of person who left an impact on everyone he met. A devoted father, loving husband, and a true friend to all, he lived his life with kindness, humor, and an unwavering willingness to help others. He never cared for material things—his greatest joy was spending time with family, working on projects, and lending a hand whenever someone needed him. Whether it was fixing a car or pulling us kids on sleds behind his tractor, George was always there with a smile and a solution.
In 2021, our world changed when he was diagnosed with cancer and given just six months to live. He fought back with everything he had—his unshakable spirit, his love for family, and the support of those around him. Against all odds, we were blessed with four more years with him. He spent that time doing what he loved—BBQs, camping, tinkering, watching movies with his wife, and even going on one last elk hunting trip with his best friend. Most importantly, he was able to meet his first granddaughter, a moment we will always cherish.
Sadly, this past year, his health declined rapidly. Then, without warning, we had to say goodbye as George departed for heaven on March 2, 2025. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that his kindness, generosity, and love will live on in all of us.
If you find it in your heart to help, we will be forever grateful. Every donation, big or small, will go toward honoring George’s memory and easing the financial strain of funeral and medical expenses during this difficult time.
Thank you for reading his story and for helping us honor the legacy of a truly one-of-a-kind man."
